8. CATHOLIC BOARD ISSUES
An Accommodation review is presently being carried out by the

of the location of existing programs be carried out. CPF will
lobby to be involved in this process.

requesting that Catholic Members of our executive be involved

9. PUBLIC BOARD ISSUES
1. An Ancaster parent group is petitioning the Board for a French
Immersion site in the community- there are 20 JK students on
their list with another 20 to follow the year after. The Board
will be carrying out a survey of all Ancaster JK students to
gauge interest. They will need to find a school with surplus
space and take a report to the School Board.
Action:
CPF H-W may present to the Board of trustees in December in support
of the Ancaster delegation.
2. Transportation is an
imminent issue. At the FIAC meeting a presentation was made by
Daryl Sage (Manager for Transportation) indicating that there
may be less of a surplus available in future years which may
in turn affect FI bussing (FI bussing is a priority in the event
of a surplus, but there are not dedicated funds for FI transportation).
Additionally the requirement of the Province that Boards share
buses may also result in future changes to FI bussing.
Action:
Roz will monitor the situation at FIAC.
